RaiNao Returns with GRIS, Her First Single of the Year

RaiNao returns with GRIS, her first single of the year, co-produced by Tainy, Koji Jose, and Wiso Rivera, following 2024's CAPICÚ.

RaiNao has returned with her first single of the year, GRIS. It arrives as a compact statement: written and produced by RaiNao herself and augmented by additional production from Tainy, Koji Jose, and Wiso Rivera. For an artist who hasn’t released a larger project since 2024’s CAPICÚ, the new track feels like a deliberate move to maintain momentum rather than a full reset.

Last year RaiNao kept a steady drumbeat of releases and collaborations, issuing singles like sofocón and teaming with peers on MiuMiu and Suerte. She also turned up on Bad Bunny’s DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS for the track PERFuMITO NUEVO, a feature that kept her presence in high-profile company even as she shaped her own next steps.

A restrained, attentive shift

On paper the ingredients of “GRIS” are modest: RaiNao’s characteristic, silky vocal on top of sparing production touches. The track is punctuated by hypnotizing steel drum embellishments that land as gently as raindrops—an ornamental detail that the song uses sparingly, not as a hooky affectation but as a textural choice.

Those production credits are worth noting. Having Tainy, Koji Jose, and Wiso Rivera attached signals continued industry investment in RaiNao’s trajectory, and the credits also underline how she’s positioning herself as both creator and curator of her sound: the song is listed as written and produced by RaiNao, with those names providing additional polish.

In that light, “GRIS” reads less like a commercial bid and more like maintenance and refinement. It follows a pattern she’s been building since CAPICÚ: intermittent singles, collaborations that expand her cultural footprint, and selective features that keep her voice in circulation without collapsing into the constant-release churn of streaming-era pop.
