Ian Curtis: Insight brings handwritten Joy Division lyrics and personal archive to New York

For the first time, material from Ian Curtis’s archive will be shown in the United States. Ian Curtis: Insight arrives at Voltz Clarke Gallery this summer, running June 25 through July 22, and pulls rare handwritten Joy Division lyrics, personal letters, photographs and other ephemera out of Manchester’s vaults and into a new context.

On display are items drawn from The John Rylands Library at The University of Manchester, where the collection sits as part of the British Pop Archive.
