Snoop Dogg, Tori Kelly, Ado and Satoshi Fujihara provide the official theme for Stranger Than Heaven, a Like A Dragon spin-off arriving this winter.

Snoop Dogg and Tori Kelly headline the official theme for Stranger Than Heaven, the Like A Dragon spin-off that developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has slated to launch later this year. The new track, which also brings Japanese stars Satoshi Fujihara and Ado into the fold, arrived alongside a cast-and-story trailer that gives the clearest sense yet of the game’s peculiar mix of violence and spectacle.
“The main theme is a luxurious collaboration thats so extravagant its almost beyond comprehension,” Ado explained on X. Check out the track below:
All four musicians do more than provide vocals. Each is also a character in the game: Snoop Dogg voices Orpheus, Tori Kelly appears as Kelly Day, Ado plays Keiko Shirai and Satoshi Fujihara portrays Takashi. Its a neat bit of cross-media casting that threads pop personalities into the narrative fabric of the title.
Stranger Than Heaven bills itself as “a fifty-year, action-adventure saga of men with nowhere to go and their desperate struggle to find a home. Use extreme violence to survive, and musical talent to thrive as a showman across five cities and eras of modern Japan.” The campaign spans five cities, each modelled after a specific historical era: Fukuoka (1915), Hiroshima (1929), Osaka (1943), Shizuoka (1951) and Tokyo (1965).
Beyond the staged fights, the game leans into a performative conceit. Its protagonist, Makoto, alternates between brutal confrontations and running concerts across Japan to build a career. To assemble those performances, players are expected to search the streets for rumor, recruit talent and literally turn the world into sound.
“In order to get these shows off the ground, Makoto must gather rumours from the streets and use them to scout skilled singers and performers,” explained developers. “He can then head out into town to create new musiccollecting any and every sound he can find: the swish of a broom, snoring of a sleepy neighbour, the rumble of passing trains, distant animal cries, even the grunts and growls of the enemies he fights.”
“By combining these sounds, Makoto can craft original tracks, brand new music for the whole nation to hear. From there, hell choose the setlist, arrange the band, assign a cast, and design the productionfrom lighting colours to stagingall in an effort to bring each show to life. As you tour the country staging performances and captivating audiences, youll experience Makotos rags-to-riches rise to success as a master showman.”
Its an ambitious conceit: a game where combat feeds composition, and where celebrity voices function as both marketing and in-world characters. Stranger Than Heaven is due out this winter for Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
In a separate piece of industry news, an official Paranormal Activity game has reportedly been scrapped after Paramount allegedly refused to give creators more time on the project.
