Gracie Abrams Announces Third Album ‘Daughter From Hell,’ Due July 17
Gracie Abrams has announced her third album, Daughter From Hell, arriving July 17 with lead single “Hit the Wall” out May 14.
Gracie Abrams has set her third studio album in motion. On Monday, May 11, she confirmed that Daughter From Hell will arrive July 17, sharing the title, cover art and release date on Instagram just as the rollout for lead single “Hit the Wall” begins to gather pace.
“My third album is out July 17,” Abrams wrote in the caption. “Whoa whoa whoa. Freaking out.” She also framed the record with a bluntly intimate line that fits the way she has been building this era: “I am so ready for it to be yours.” The artwork shows Abrams in a crouched position, photographed close in, her eyes fixed on something off-frame.
According to the Daughter From Hell countdown page on Spotify, the album will run 16 tracks and include “Hit the Wall,” which is due Thursday, May 14. Once again, the project finds Abrams working with Aaron Dessner, her longtime collaborator who also produced her 2023 debut Good Riddance and 2024 follow-up The Secret of Us. That second album marked a clear commercial jump for Abrams, peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, while Good Riddance reached No. 52. The rise was powered in part by the kind of crossover singles that widened her audience fast, including “That’s So True” and “I Love You, I’m Sorry.”
The new album has been coming into focus for months. In her 2025 Billboard cover story, Abrams said she and Dessner were finding time to work together “in these little pockets between hectic times,” squeezing studio sessions in wherever they could. She described the process in a way that suggested the songs were still revealing themselves even to her: “Every day that I live with the music, things start to become a little clearer. There’s something we’re starting to crack that is making both of us feel energized.”
By April, she had already started dropping quieter clues, posting photos of her journal covered with “DFH” stickers. Now the title is official, the release date is locked, and the next chapter in Abrams’ fast-moving catalog is close enough to measure in days rather than months.
