Queen Latifah Is Joining ‘The Voice’ Season 30 Alongside Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine and Riley Green

Queen Latifah is heading to The Voice this fall, adding another major chapter to a career that has already moved through rap, film, television and awards-season hardware with unusual ease. NBC announced on Tuesday, May 12, that the Grammy-winning rapper will join season 30 of the singing competition, taking a red chair alongside Riley Green, Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine.
The lineup already gives season 30 a certain built-in nostalgia. Clarkson is set for her 10th season on the show, while Levine is returning for his 18th coaching stint and will come back as a former champion. Green, meanwhile, will make his coaching debut after previously performing in the show’s finales in seasons 26 and 28. Queen Latifah joins him as the newest face in the panel, but not as a rookie to high-pressure televised performance. NBC is also promising surprise guests throughout the season, along with callbacks to some of the show’s most memorable moments.

For someone who has spent more than 35 years in music, Queen Latifah arrives at The Voice with a résumé that extends far beyond her status as the “U.N.I.T.Y.” rapper. She is a Grammy winner, an Emmy and Academy Award winner, and a newly minted Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee. That combination makes her less a guest star than a cultural operator who has already crossed nearly every lane entertainment has to offer. On a show built around mentorship, branding and legacy, that breadth matters.
The move also drops into a packed 2026 for the New Jersey native. Before she takes her seat on the NBC series, Queen Latifah is scheduled to host the 2026 American Music Awards, which will air live from Las Vegas on Memorial Day, May 25. Then, in November, she is set for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as part of a 2026 class that also includes Wu-Tang Clan and MC Lyte. She is listed among the year’s musical influence award recipients as well.
The Voice returns to NBC this fall and will stream on Peacock the next day.
