McCartney and Ringo Share First-Ever Duet “Home To Us” from New LP

Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have recorded their first-ever vocal duet: “Home To Us,” a new track on McCartney’s upcoming record The Boys Of Dungeon Lane.

The song arrives as the most literal coming-together of two surviving Beatles, even if the reunion is modest in scale. McCartney plays most of the instruments across the project, but “Home To Us” is singled out as the only track on the album to feature a guest drummer. McCartney says he built the drum track with Starr in mind, then invited him to add parts alongside producer Andrew Watt.

Backing vocals on the cut come from Chrissie Hynde and Sharleen Spiteri — the former was recently not shy about pointing out the vapidity of celebrity culture and its attendant media coverage following the Monday’s Met Gala…but what about all the pretty dresses?!

McCartney has already previewed the record with lead single “Days We Left Behind,” and now the duet expands the album’s personal frame. The Boys Of Dungeon Lane is explicitly inspired by McCartney’s upbringing in Liverpool; the new song is rooted in memory and in place.
