PNAU Announce Seventh Album AHHCade and Drop New Single “Nirvana” With EARTHGANG and sadMONTH

PNAU have opened a new chapter: the Australian electronic duo announced their seventh studio album, AHHCade, due July 31 via Sydney indie label etcetc (part of TMRW Music), and released a bruising new single, “Nirvana,” a collaboration with Atlanta duo EARTHGANG and the newly unveiled sadMONTH project on May 8.

Nick Littlemore frames the record in plainly emotional terms. “There is a sense of belonging about music, about the journey we have taken. Both Peter and I and our collaborators, creating a home on the dancefloor, between the ears of the listener,” he says, before cutting to the thesis: “We are making heart songs. While, yes, they have electronics and they have technology, they are essentially expressions of the heart.”

The set already includes “Tu Corazon (Your Heart),” a co-write with Mexican rock trio The Warning, but it is “Nirvana” that arrives as the headline statement today. The track pairs PNAU with EARTHGANG and sadMONTH, the latter described as a new creative project from Littlemore alongside Toronto producer Dom Dias.

“Nirvana” represents the birth of a new era,” Littlemore says. “Its fierce, feverish and harks back to the shape of punk electronic yet to come. Get ready to be uptight, upgrooved and unhinged for a new disorder.”

EARTHGANG add a nod to the singles energy: “For ‘Nirvana’ we tapped the euphoric and enlightened energy with PNAU, and surfed the electro crush. We appreciate everybody who poured their energy into making it a banger.”

Reps for PNAU say more, sometimes surprising, collaborations will follow as AHHCades rollout continues. That intention to gather voices is consistent with PNAUs arc: Littlemore and Peter Mayes, high school friends turned production partners, follow this record from 2024s Sambanova and a career that has repeatedly crossed into mainstream visibility.

Those crossovers include a 2012 international breakthrough when PNAU teamed with Elton John on the remix album Good Morning to the Night, which reached No. 1 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart, and the 2021 remix “Cold Heart” with Dua Lipa, which became a global smash.

Tour and rollout

To support AHHCade, PNAU will hit the east coast of Australia on the Nirvana Tour 2026 beginning next month. The regional run launches Friday, June 19 at Gilligans in Cairns and concludes July 4 at Woodport Hotel, Erina.

For now, the band offers the new single as a ledger of intent: emotional songwriting dressed in electronic skin, leaning into punk-tinged urgency while still operating in the pop-dance language that has carried them through collaborations and chart moments. Stream “Nirvana” below.
