Sleep Token Surprise-Release an Instrumental Version of Even In Arcadia
Sleep Token have released the instrumental version of Even In Arcadia, following the album’s chart-topping success and Grammy nods.
Sleep Token have quietly put out the instrumental version of Even In Arcadia, extending the life of an album that has already become the band’s biggest commercial leap yet.
The London masked metal group released their fourth studio album last May, and it went on to give them their first Number One on both the UK Albums chart and the US Billboard 200. “Caramel” also became their first-ever UK top 10 single, a milestone that underlined just how far the band’s reach had expanded by the time Even In Arcadia landed.
The new instrumental edition is available on major streaming platforms now, with coloured vinyl due on August 7. Pre-orders and pre-saves are available here.
This isn’t new territory for the band. Sleep Token have previously issued instrumental versions of Sundowning in 2019 and This Place Will Be Your Tomb in 2021, though Take Me Back To Eden, the 2023 record that helped push them into a different tier, never got the same treatment.

That chart success also brought the band their first two Grammy nominations, with nods for Best Metal Performance for “Caramel” and Best Rock Performance for “Emergence”. Turnstile and Yungblud won those categories, respectively, but the nominations still marked another clear indicator of how much institutional attention Sleep Token now command.
In December, the band also shared an Even In Arcadia-inspired colouring book, billed as featuring “25 extraordinary designs from Sleep Token’s enigmatic, groundbreaking and genre fluid career”.
The original album earned a five-star review from NME, which wrote: “Even In Arcadia shatters any pressure of expectation into oblivion, building on the bravery of its predecessor, sonically, while its lyrics reveal the most exposed version of Vessel we’ve seen yet. From Eden to Arcadia – and beyond – let the worship continue.”
Sleep Token’s rise has also been reinforced on the live circuit. Last summer, they headlined Download Festival for the first time, and their set was later described by KoRn as having “shut everybody up” who doubted they could handle a major festival headline slot.
For now, some fans are already looking past the instrumental album and toward another loose end: the reworked version of “Rain” that appeared in The Game Awards’ Hype trailer, which many are still hoping gets a full release.
